There are two ways to find dictionaries: look online or use one of our databases.

For a list of traditional, trusted dictionaries, please view our General Reference Sources Online library guide.

You can also access Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary by going to Gale Virtual Reference and clicking "Dictionary" from the top of the main page.

For subject-specific dictionaries, go to Credo Reference and limit your resources to dictionaries on the left side of the screen.
